How large should my artwork file be?

For Canvas Prints, 150 ppi is a sufficient resolution for printing on canvas. Files that are prepared at greater than 150 ppi do not provide a discernible improvement in print resolution due to the nature of the substrate.

To calculate the resolution needed to print at 150 PPI, multiply your canvas size by the PPI (150). For example, an 8x10 canvas we recommend a resolution of 1200x1500.

For Professional Photo Prints, we suggest you use a resolution of 300 ppi or higher.

Please note: We recommend the printing of cell phone photos on smaller size canvases, such as an 8x10. While you can go larger, you may experience low-quality image reproduction and potential issues with the crop and/or layout of cell phone images on our products.

If you are unsure of your image quality and you would like a member of our team to check it for you, please send your image through our contact form here (or email support@simplecanvasprints.com) along with your inquiry and the canvas size you are interested in, and one of our team members will respond to let you know if your image is sufficient quality to print.
